A wonderful contemporary work for harp, composed in 1955 by Ernst Krenek. This work is harmonically complex, with many pedal changes, but has a timeless elegance. Krenek studied composition with late-Romantic composer Franz Schreker and was interested in both neo-classical and aleotoric styles of music. This work is dedicated to harpist Nicanor Zabaleta.
