This arrangement is best suited for pedal harp, but could be modified for lever harp with the exception of one note below the range of a lever harp and some tricky lever changes in the coda. |

This version of O Holy night offers an arrangement for every harpist. It includes a setting for High voice in F major, medium voice in E-flat major, D major and C major and a version for low voice in B-flat major. All include markings for both pedal and lever harp. The harp accompaniment is of "concert-quality" but is not difficult technically. The text is the original French text to Cantique de Noel. A singable English translation is included which adheres more closely to the French than the usual version. The familiar words to "O Holy Night" are also substitutable, but not included. Occasional fingerings are also included. 20 pages. |

Famed as a player and teacher, he was also a composer of note whose works reflect his French origins and great support for contemporary musical developments in the 1920s and 1930s. This is a collection all harpists will want to own and cherish. Difficulty level ranges from intermediate to very advanced. This is a collective reprint of the Carl Fischer editions; folk songs and music by Handel, Haydn, Brahms and Anton Rubenstein as well as his delightful Five Preludes. All the selections bear a Carl Fischer copyright dated between 1923 - 1925 and include most of the verbal introductory instructions given by Salzedo appearing in the original editions.
