This majestic, pretty melody makes a beautiful harp solo. In the key of C without lever or pedal changes, the range goes to the C two octaves below middle C. Contemporary work in classical style. The piece begins with a simple chordal left hand accompaniment. The theme repeats several times, each time growing richer. The left hand becomes a little more involved each variation, with an Alberti-type bass, broader chords, and in the final variation, large chords and a sweeping A minor arpeggio.
