Strauss, Richard, Orchestral Studies from Symphonic Works, Vol. II
This book is a collection of the harp parts for several symphonic works by Richard Strauss judged to be the most worthy of long-term study (due primarily to their difficulty). The passages presented in this collection were selected by members of the Vienna Philharmonic and the Royal Imperial Academy for the Music and Representative Art. This edition for harp was prepared by well-known harpist, composer and pedagogue Alfred Holy. Holy's introductory notes in the beginning of this edition state that the key he chose for presenting many of these studies is occasionally different from the key of the original orchestral part in order to allow the harpist the most ease in pedaling and playing synonyms. 37 pages Excerpts From: Don Quixote Heldenleben Domestica Orchestral Studies from Symphonic Works, Vol. 1
