Bach, J.S.; arr. Marcel Grandjany, Largo (from Sonata No. 5 for Violin)
An arrangement of the Largo from Bach's Sonata No. 5 for violin, arranged for harp by Marcel Grandjany using the piano transcription of Camille Saint-Saens. Suitable for intermediate-advanced pedal harpists. The intricate music of J.S. Bach translates beautifully to the harp and the French influence of both Saint-Saens and Grandjany is evident in this transcription which is thoughtfully edited to make the music more idiomatic for the two hands of the harpists. As with many of Bach's works, this piece is a lovely source of technical study for intermediate-advanced harp students and would be a gem in any harpist's solo repertoire. 2 pages
