A fantastic encore piece!
Duke by French harpist and composer Bernard Andres is full of jazzy rhythms and bluesy harmonies. In this piece, Andres takes advantage of the harp's versatility (it can function simultaneously as a percussion and a melody instrument), utilizing several contemporary harp techniques, such as tapping on the soundboard, pedal glissandos, and glissing with the backs of the nails. This piece would definitely round out any recital program!
