Vivaldi, Concerto in D Minor
Regularly $25.00 - Online Sale Price $19.99! Vivaldi's Concerto in D minor for viola d'amore, lute and strings is the third in a set of concertos played by girls of the Ospedale della Pieta in Venice before the Crown Prince of Poland in 1740. Arnold Bax made his arrangement for harp and string quartet of this piece in 1927– It was first performed by members of The Harp Ensemble, with Maria Korchinska at the Grotrian Hall in London. This arrangement of Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi throws an interesting light on Bax, who is not normally associated with music of the eighteenth century. 10 pages, this edition includes the harp part with a few string cues written in. This edition was required for Stage 3 of the 19th International Harp Contest in Israel, Winter 2015. Click Here to See All Specials
