Dittersdorf concerto with string quartet accompaniment

Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf (1739-1799) composed the Concerto per il Cembalo in 1779. Early classical work is approachable for an advanced intermediate level pedal harpist. This reduction of the orchestral accompaniment for string quartet makes a performance more realistic to achieve without resorting to a piano reduction for accompaniment. Included are seperate parts for each of the string quartet players (violin 1, violin 2, viola, cello) and a full score, which the harpist could play from.

This Irish song, arranged in D major, is like a minuet in rhythm and character. It is given somewhat classical treatment in six variations. Variations include one in D minor and a full transformation in which the original melody is only vaguely recollected. Lever changes are only found in the D minor variation, and the bridge leading into and out of it. Notated for both lever and pedal harp, intermediate level.

This piece is composed based on a whole-tone scale and is playable on both lever or pedal harp. It is a short piece using many extended techniques such as "xylophone sound", "kloster" and "tympanic sounds" to name just a few. La Charite (charity) was originally the third of a group of sacred choir pieces written by Rossini in 1844 for women's chorus and piano. This transcription is arranged in three sections: the cantabilie arpeggiandi opening in Eb major has left hand arpeggios with a lovely and memorable melody in right hand chords, then an arpegggio section in Ab major, then the opening section returns with an accompniment in repeated chords. Late intermediate level pedal harp writing.
